Triple Solar introduces itself

Triple Solar is the inventor of the PVT heat pump panel and developer of the revolutionary Triple Solar® PVT heat pump. With this system, it is possible to provide a home with heat, hot tap water and electricity sustainably. Fossil-fuel free, during all seasons, 24 hours a day.

The front side of the PVT heat pump panel consists of solar cells (PV) that convert sunlight into electricity. The backside is a thermal exchanger (T) that provides source energy for the heat pump. Therefore, the panel draws energy from both the outside air (-20 °C to +50 °C) and sunlight: a super-efficient source for the PVT and regular water-to-water heat pump!

The Triple Solar® PVT heat pump features state-of-the-art technology with the natural refrigerant propane and is very economical with the generated electricity. Propane is environmentally friendly (GWP=3) and allows a supply temperature of +70 °C. This is ideal for application in existing buildings, where radiators are often still used and not every home has underfloor heating. The PVT heat pump can therefore be used as both hybrid (existing buildings/renovations) and fossil-fuel free (new construction).

As a hybrid application alongside the existing central heating boiler, the 3.5 kW output can already save around 60-80% of gas for heating and making hot tap water. If, at some point, the house becomes suitable for gasless heating, the Triple Solar® PVT heat pump can easily be expanded by coupling a second PVT heat pump. Which means that the investment will not be lost.

For new construction, the PVT heat pump is suitable as an all-electric (fossil-fuel free) solution for smaller houses and apartments up to approximately 100 m2, thanks to its compactness. It can also be used modular in larger homes by installing two PVT heat pumps in cascade.
