ETIM 9 Basic version at 2BA

Dear 2BA participant,

As of May 2, 2023, ETIM 9 is the basic version at 2BA, in addition, the dynamic publications of ETIM are imported. The product classes, characteristics and characteristic values of ETIM 8 that are not maintained in ETIM 9 have been marked as obsolete.

The possible download options are:

Statistics

The statistics page of data providers contains separate statistics for ETIM 9 and ETIM dynamic. Both statistics are counts without classes, characteristics and values from previous ETIM versions. The ETIM dynamic count also includes classes, attributes, and values that were added after ETIM 9. You can also see these statistics in the new processing reports.

Label Data quality

The score of the Label Data Quality (label wholesale, maritime buyers and purchasing engineer) is based on ETIM Dynamic. As a result, the transition from ETIM 8 to ETIM 9 as the basic version has no direct consequences for the score of the various labels. We do, of course, recommend that the addition and completion of the ETIM classification of product data be given priority on the agenda. In this way, the industry is provided with the highest possible data quality and products can be found quickly and easily.
